Hello I'm Doc And I'm New Here...

Hi fellow songwriters!

My name is Doc and I'm in my early 40's. I love my family, God, baseball, football, basketball, golf, guitars and outdoor activities like hiking. My wife and son are the center of my world.

I am a professor and I've had a few educational literary articles published; and I've loved to dabble in songwriting and recently I signed a deal with a music publisher for two of my songs; which I'm thrilled about . I'm here to hopefully collaborate with some other songwriters. My musical influences include Johnny Cash, Bono, John Denver, Kris Kristofferson, Rich Mullins, Andrew Peterson, Don Williams, James Taylor, Ed Sheeran, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Seger, the Killers, Jackson Browne, and Mumford & Sons. I love folk/Americana music and songs that tell a story! I play guitar ( I have an epiphone and a baby Martin) but I'm a terrible singer.
