Challenge #37 - A Lion Seeking Whom He Can Devour

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I've composed a melody for louielouwhy's alternative lyrics for a Beatles song which I don't know which it is.

Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding between us, which led me think that louielouwhy wasn't content with my work, I've yet to produce a recording. But the misunderstanding is resolved, and we would therefore want to ask for some extra time for this challenge! :)

I will try to produce the audio recording this evening July 20 Swedish time... :) In the meantime, I attach here the preliminary sheet music for our song. But there will be a few changes to the rhythm and the phrasings for the final audio version.

So please, give us this day too to finish this challenge! :)

Here's the audio finished now, even if it's a very rough recording:

So I hope we can participate even though we were a bit late... :)

Final lyrics:

A Lion Seeking Whom He Can Devour

(lyrics: louielouwhy, music: Martin Nilsson (SevenSeas))

Near some drunkards' rum
a lion stays
until last call,
causing some drunks
to frankly speak.
They keep blaming on.

Now the drunkards harshly speak,
now the drunkards harshly speak,
now the drunkards harshly speak,
oh, oh, oh.

Then the lion manages to deter them,
so they don't know whose drink to drink.
He egregiously deceives them
into loathing!

Fools to ruin
their friendship for
eternity!
I looked at the dudes,
and their
tempers were flaring.

While the drunkards frankly speak,
while the drunkards frankly speak,
while the drunkards frankly speak,
oh, oh, oh.

With each sip, they're shaking.
See their tempers meeting,
as the drunkards harshly speak,
oh, oh, oh!

They both swing arou-ound,
increasing disturbance.
The bouncer was alerted
to a showdown causing injury
over a stolen brew.

As one guy lies roughly beat,
bouncer cries out: "Last call!",
while the lion tips their drinks,
oh, oh, oh!

More! More! More! More! More!
Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!
More! More! More! More! More!
Hahahaha!
