Gigs You Missed

Hey

I was going to post this in response to a post about Dave Gilmours guitars, and then I thought it might make an interesting thread.... the gigs you were going to, but for whatever reason, you didn't make it, or the gig was cancelled...

Pink Floyd. 1988. Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour. I managed to miss the gig because my bike broke down the day I was going to travel down from Glasgow to Manchester. I was gutted. Seriously gutted.

Luckily I went to see them at Earls Court a few years later on the last day of the tour. What a gig. They filmed the Pulse DVD over a few nights. Amazing sound, amazing light show. A spectacle.

I still have my ticket for the missed gig. I just noticed it was £15.00 lol

and this was the culprit bike. It was an old warhorse that had once upon a time raced at the isle Of Mann TT (not with me). Not long after that I sold it and bought something much better, more reliable for a start.

I've seen Dave Gilmour playing solo twice. Although good it was never on the same epic scale, though it was a surprise to see Dave Crosby and Graham Nash doing backing vocals at one of them!

Cheers
