Ballad of a modern man

down the dusty road to freedom

lays a trail of mans demons

they walk in shadows without a care

ready to pounce from anywhere

from the gates of Eden

where gods turned to men

to lay a path beyond belief

filled the world with bliss and grief

hollow fibers,shallow noose

mad men of power on the loose

hand-outs from people who don't care

soldiers of fortune on welfare

reality with no sanity

kings and queens with no humanity

mother nature polluted and abused

and all our excuses have been used
