Sure sounds like mixed voice to me. Though understand that mixed voice is a term used for a broad range of tonalities/blending of chest and head resonances (contemporarily called M1 and M2 registers of the voice).

 

With respect to the practice itself, if you do not feel any tightness or a feeling of any set of muscles 'locking in' in any way in the entire duration of you making that sound in the recording, you seem to be alright for now. Do stay curious to some of the guidance you can get online via Youtube and even here at Songstuff which may help you keep the sails in the right direction.
