This is a fantastic (old) song by Thrice.  It's called Blood Clots and Black Holes.  I thought I knew what it was about, but according to the songwriter/s, I was wrong.  I'm going to post the lyrics below.  If you want to listen to it, and why wouldn't you?!  It's easy to find, Google, YouTube etc.

 

Oh! And I'll write at the bottom what it's not about.  I don't want to write that up here and influence anyone's thoughts on the song meaning.

It's not about drugs and/or drug use.  That's according to the band members themselves.  Sounds like a wind up to me.  If it's not about drugs/drug use/medicine, why is it full of those references?
