I can recommend a new and cheap Noise Removal PLUG-IN for Vocal Recording

I bought this a couple of days ago based on reviews by producers/engineers.

I can attest that it works brilliantly and is SO easy to use.  Here's my own test without, then with, the plugin ...

 

 

 

I dialled in the following settings while listening to the overall effect:

 

As recorded with a stereo field recorder, I reduced the 'width' to nothing ('summing' L/R into mono ... studio vocals are mono anyway).

NOTE - I believe the noise removal is for VOCALS only.

 

I have always had problems in my untreated home studio with the fan noise from the laptop on my work desk. While quiet, I need to do vocal recordings about 3m away from the desk to minimise the fan noise ... which makes it a pain to see screen detail and to be efficient with keyboard/mouse actions.  With this plugin I can now even consider recording podcasts while sitting in my usual desk position.
