Heya, I'm Glitch, a young singer from southern Michigan. I made this account mostly to get feedback on the random covers I make, which don't have any backing, and to meet other musicians. Personally, I prefer the pop-punk genre, or really just anything that I can sing at warp speed. Can't wait to meet you all!

Yes, I know. I started a soundcloud account and use that. It's all pretty simple in the end. Give it a go!

only problem is that I'm on a domain controlled computer, my only form on internet access at this point, with soundcloud blocked and no way to upload youtube videos.

I have read your conversations with @Laurence Cremetti so I understand that you are not yet able to upload your work. Which is fine, no worries 👍 Songstuff has tons of content you could go through in the meantime, while your finding ways to sort out what's happening over there.

 

Though I would like to point out something. While I'm sure that Laurence has good intentions, I would not recommend uploading your music assets through a random musician you just met on the internet. This could lead to potential complications down the line, including potential complications on Laurence's end.

You are of course correct, and I've been wondering how uploads could be done. So far, I'm at a loss. Surely there is a way?

Are you recording the covers you do? If so, how are you doing them?

it's just simple, unedited recordings off of Vocaroo.

Save your Vocaroo recording as an .mp3, then upload that .mp3 file as an attachment to a post you make in a forum here on Songstuff.

The cover forums say that it has to be youtube or soundcloud.

Yes, you're right about the Covers board on Songstuff.

 

It would be best to have access to a phone or computer that can be used to create accounts on Soundcloud etc.  A controlled domain that has security requirements that prevent certain types of usage can't be the solution. Just guessing here, but vocaroo restrictions are probably covered in the security policy if usage is also on the controlled domain that's blocked soundcloud and disallowed YouTube uploads.
