Looking for guidance about creating loops and using samples

Hey guys,

So I want to get into performing.  I have a keyboard, and am trying to figure out what equipment I'd need to do some solo acts.

I was thinking of getting a launchpad that I'd connect to my ipad

Then get an amp that I connect to.. it all...

I'm not sure how the setup would work.  But I'd like to be able to record myself playing, then have that play in a loop where I could add to it. Then I'd like to push a button to play a sample of a real recording I did somewhere, and have that also play on a loop.

 

Anyone have recommendations for a setup on the lower-end/cost of things?

I read about a free app which does the same thing, so you could try that to get a feel for it before you splash out for hardware.
