Syncronising your music with digital content

I come from a digital content creation background and have always struggled to get impactful music I can use with my content. I have been exploring the idea of creating a platform where independent artists can host their music for whatever price they want with whatever restrictions they want for digital creators to use in their content. 

Since I have been approaching from the content side, I wanted to get the view of a wider range of artists. 

Some questions to spark discussion on the topic.

• Would you want a free service like this?
• Would having a place where you band mates can make agreements be helpful? e.g. split sheets
• Do you see digital platforms like YouTube or Twitch as a potential launch pad for your music?
• How important is it to you to keep control over your music and how it is used?

 

I would love to see your views on this as it is a project, I am very passionate about.
