Newbie Here :d

Hi everyone.

Obviously I'm new on these boards. Been lurking around a bit. Everyone seems to be on the level and about the songwriting, so I thought I'd venture out and introduce myself.

I go by the handle skiesofganymede. I'm female. I sing and play guitar. My main vocal/lyrical influences come from the grunge era and more alternative styles. I like the whole lyrics as self-expression thingy...and kinda using songs as a medium through which to communicating things that otherwise tend to evade description.

I think my main weakness is balancing being faithful to the kinda abstract things i'm trying to convey and doing so in a way that is concrete enough to be decipherable. My songs DO have a "correct" interpretation (although sometimes I'm not sure of it myself until I'm finished a song)...so i'm hoping from being here I might get better at writing decipherable lyrics and hopefully learn to engineer the voice of my lyrics better.

Anyhow that's where i'm coming from.

So a big "hellooooo" to anyone who reads this!

Yeah, I've been writing lyrics maybe 7 years? Probably in the last year I've started becoming happier with them...so they're managing to survive more than a few house .
