I need some help....

I wan to make jazz/hip-hop tracks...with deep bass lines...what would you guys recomend... I was told the Boss Sp 505 would be best...Any suggestions?

Welcome to songstuff!

I'm afraid I have no experience of this type of equipment, but I have read a few write ups about this particular piece of kit. It appears to be looked on quite favourably by the music press but as with any piece of new kit! I suggest you go to a music store and try out a few different pieces of kit! What may look good on paper may not be exactly what you're after! If I was about to spend 3 or 4 hundred dollars on some kit, I'd wanna try it out for a good few hours just to make sure it was all I wanted. I would also want to look at the same kind of gear from other manufacturers for comparison.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help! But I strongly recomend a trip to your nearest music retailer!

Sorry, I just found this post. I've never used it, but I've heard good reports. For me, I use my sampler for sub-bass and bass sounds. It's versatile enough to work for several roles in a mix.

What sort of budget are you thinking of?
