I HAVE FAILED!

Well, it all started today while I was working on a remodling project in my home. My wife was talking to her sister about the new mp3 player I had bought for her. My wife loves the darn thing. She was telling her sister how cool it was that she has taken all of her favorite CD's and took all the songs she liked and  loaded them into the player for walks and exercise and the like.

Here's the failure on my part.

I was in the other room when I heard my wife say to her sister, "Seeing that it's illegal to download music off the internet, I'm thinking of buying..............." BANG!

I promptly ran into the room and blurted out, "IT'S NOT ILLEGAL, JUST GO TO INDIE ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!"

I can't believe she never listened to me all these years about the fact that many indie's (including myself) make it perfectly legal to get their music. So I cornered her about this tonight.

She told me why she doesn't go the indie route.

1. There are too many artists to filter through.

2. There are too many songs.

3. I don't have time to go out and find songs that I really like. It could take me all day to find 10 songs with the mess that's out there.

I said, "Listen to some indie radio and mark down artists names that you like!

She said,

4. If indie radio really played the best and not just thier friends, maybe I would find some stuff I like. (This part came from her because I've made her listen to a few shows at sites I belong to.) She has a point.

Anyway, it just bothered me that she feels she would rather go out and buy major MP3's (Cause she already knows who she likes) than search for indie music.

I feel the need to set the record straight here.

If you really knew me you would see that with all of my faults I could never be the worlds nicest guy. Maybe the worlds second nicest guy, but deffinately not the worlds nicest guy. Heck, I might only be the third most nicest guy. Sumpin like dat.

Before seing this link, I had some doubts, but now I am totally convinced.
