I am granted this life

Why? This Feeling of sorrow

Crushing my every moment

People long to live

No one wants to die

Yet a pain so intense

Crying of million

Wounded souls around

I feel the shreds

Pain they bear

Surviving this world

I feel the throbbing pain around

As they pray for life and some more

More of everything, nothing for sure

Every morning and every night

Like a beggar waiting on a street

Every morning at 6 A.M sharp

By the clock his morning starts

Disgises himself with a trampled bowl

From the presidential hopefuls

Of a country like the United States

I want to feel the feeling of a feel

As I reach out to touch

Yet this sham of altruism

Holds me back, aching!

Always held in a cage

Anxiously like a prisoner

Awaiting for his turn

On a death row

I have a heart

I feel a soul

A human, I be declared

Let me feel the demons

Let be a human

I want to feel conceited

Make me feel blasé

You are human. The core value of humanity, in my opinion, is dignity. You may feel robbed of your humanity, your dignity. But remember, we each receive this gift at birth. It can only be taken from us with our own permission. People will try to beat us down and rob us of our dignity at life's every turn. And at every turn, we must be ready to defend it. The law of society is the same as the law of the jungle. Civilization is but a thin veneer. Don't dispair, Nick. Fight for your dignity at every turn, and you will prevail.
