  1. Thats really a big thing coming from a musician like you! Thanks a lot TJ!

  2. Just listened/watched "Valentine's Day Song". Dude.....INCREDIBLE. When I first heard you sing, it reminded me of someone...but I couldn't think of who. Now I know. Adam Levine!!!! But you've got your own style. AWESOME!

  3. you too! My brother and mom were watchin my laptop as to whose music it was when I was listening to your songs! The more of an "acoustic" feel song, the last one whose name I believe was Clear Sky was just great! and here is my channel(its just home recording, not much at ALL)but thats all I've got!:)http://www.youtube.com/myozeusr

  4. Thanks a ton, Mahesh! And keep posting your stuff up. I'd love to hear more of it!

    Guitar Picks

I use pennies. Just plain ole' simple U.S. currency. Have for years. Not to be different, but started using them when I ran out of picks one time at around the age of 15 or so. The only real drawback, is that they can create unwanted overtones sometimes...especially when recording. So in order to avoid a ton of that, I've worked on a lot of hybrid picking techniques and using my middle, ring, and pinky fingers on my right hand....and using a LOT of legato-style phrasing. As a result, if I do use a plectrum, it's gotta be as heavy as it gets....and I don't use the "pointy" end of it...rather the backside.
  6. And I would LOVE to do vocals for such great music! Great work again man!

  7. Hey TJ,the first one I heard of you was the first one on the list,Europa!YOU ARE GREAT!:) Love it!

  8. I'm constantly influenced by not only what's going on now...but everything from my youth. Guitarists for me would be ....anything Steve Gaines ever did. (It still kills me how that guy is never mentioned....and he should be in the top 5 of ANY guitar category) If you don't believe me, just TRY and play, "I Know A Little".....the way Steve did it. Don't cheat on it....play it the way he did it. If you can do it, you get a cookie. As far as writing specifically goes, James Taylor, Paul Simon, and Jim Croce (not necessarily in that order...it depends on the day of the week). As far as recording goes, Les Paul tops everyone....but nowadays it's Tom Scholtz hands-down. The dude is the Les Paul of our lifetime.....and that's not an exaggeration.
  9. I love the subtle legato and pedal steel stuff in this. As for the percussion parts.....it's cool....but nobody is going to match McKie. Overall, BEAUTIFUL sound and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to.
