Hi! My name is Jenni, and I'm turning fifteen soon. I'm so glad I found this site because songwriting is what I do and now I can discuss it with other people! It isn't just a hobby, it is what I plan to do as a career. Technically, I've been creating songs since I was five. I didn't start recording them and copyrighting my lyrics until I was eleven, however. In school, my elective is Songwriting/Recording, and I was accepted into a performing arts school in the categories of modern music and media/technology. I have won three songwriting awards in various contests, including the national Reflections contest. (I'm usually a generally modest person, but songwriting is the one area in which i give myself permission to brag! Haha) When I'm older I would like to have a career as a music producer, and own a record label or recording business. I would also love to write songs for commercials, TV shows, or movies. Sometime during my life I want to teach vocal lessons and/or songwriting lessons. Genres I listen to: RnB, Jazz, Blues, Pop Types of songs I write: Pop, Acoustic, RnB, jazz/blues-influenced pop, commercial jingles, parodies....even a reggae song once (I like to experiment, ok?)
