My PM inbox should be working again... sorry if anyone tried to message me and couldn't. The enormous volume of fan mail had filled it up.

Eh? I did reply to you in my former fan club lol, I replied to all your posts...and my replies were hilarious!! I only closed it after I'd replied and my one fan (you) left the club. And I am accepting PM's from you and everyone.
Sounds like gremlins to me. I wonder if I'm set to not accept PMs from anyone... I didn't know that could even be set.

Mr.stone,
I'm listening to your soundcloud page and enjoying every minute. Thank you.
I would love to colabarate on a song, if you are interested.
My stuff are here: https://leoandthedude.bandcamp.com

`Thank you for your criticism and feedback. I am finding that taste is a big part of music for me. I think when i'm working at home something that my seem cheesy to others doesn't to me because of the emotional impact that lyric had for me in my life. Once its out there though its like oh I see lol. Each line is an encapsulation of a moment that is tied directly to a feeling for me. I agree that my Melody is lacking, and struggled through out trying to get something to hook (The ear), but eventually decided to just sing what my feeling was. I think its not entirely clear about who the song is about until the climax
"And all the days between then and now i'd give back to time to tell you what was true my love inside and all I thought of you".
`When I started out its more about how nostalgia, or regret brings me back to the people and times in my life. Like a dream like doll house where I can pick out people and places and create the perfect little world. With the keystone being this lost love.
`Not trying to swede you one way or the other just thought I should let a little insight into my thought process. On another forum someone said it was stagey (Not as a dis), and the first friend I previewed it to said "It feels like it should be in a show where there is a story and this is part of the context, without the listener is left to think about what it means for them" Which I agree with.

Hey,
It's best if you reply on the thread... people can get a bit pissed off if it looks like you're not responding on the thread ... no one will know you replied here.
You're welcome to my critique... and it is a lot about taste. It often is...so you can take what you want and ignore what you want. That's how it should be!
Personally, I think the 'cheese' comes from your choice of words. As time goes by it gets harder to be original, but if you can think of new ways to say something...it might come across as more 'cool'...and 'cool' is important in music. Or it is to me So I'd avoid words like 'wonderland' for example (just an example).
Maybe listen to something like Jeff Buckley's 'Grace' album for tormented lost love kind of songs with amazing words.
