  1. Hi, guys. I would just like to get some opinions on what a good way to learn piano is. I have looked all through the internet for good, free resources, but they ALWAYS have a catch of some sort. It's either not free, or it's partially free, but the only stuff that's free is the stuff people at my level would know. I am definitely a beginner, still, but I do know a bit. I know the differences between major and minor scales, I can play major and minor chords, I know how to arpeggiate chords and I know the difference between a sharp and a flat note. I don't know a whole lot, but I think I know enough to set me on my way (some might say I could just start playing already.) But, I would like to know what lessons you would recommend for stuff I'd like to play. I enjoy jazz piano and blues piano - especially stuff you'd hear from the Reign of Kindo. In fact, here's an example to show you what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUPILO5ycqg I guess the best way to put this is, I'd like to know the best way to learn piano up to the point that I can play stuff like this. When I record piano, I'd like people to think "Hey, that sounds very well put together and beautiful, musically," not "Hey, that sounds like ::Don't Stop Believing, I'm Yours, Take Me On, or any other song that uses four chords you learn after 2 weeks of lessons::" LOL. Thanks to any who help. I know my expectations are probably very high and no matter what resources are posted, it will probably still take me weeks, if not months or years to reach this level, but I just do not have the money for piano lessons and, from what I've been told, they are very slow compared to how I could be learning piano, anyway. Thanks again!
