Some techniques I use to write music (not that it matters because I haven't written anything. Just a lot of ideas, nothing solid though) I have a small book with me at all times for when I get a lyric in my head. I write it down there. I record a tune that pops in my head on my iphone and hopefully get to a piano as soon as I can to throw down some notes I write down lyrics that stick out to me in music that I already like, trying to find some kind of pattern That's about it

Just saying hi. I've always had trouble writing songs, but I'm a very good performer; vocals, piano, and guitar. I would love to break through whatever mental barrier I have to get some good lines down on paper. I'm from Reading, PA and I am former music teacher from my time in the Philadelphia School District.
