  1. The question for me should be how many guitars would you of owned if none got stolen. That answer would be 13, lol! Sadly now all I have is a Taylor Acoustic, A beater Mansfield Acoustic, and a terrible Jackson Electric guitar. The Taylor however is the nicest guitar I've ever owned which makes up for a bit lol!
  2. wicked song man! i just looked up, can't believe I havn't heard of it! and Embryonic Journey might be the next song I learn after this Tommy Emanuel tune! Looking forward to hearing from some more people!
  3. Just curious on what everyone's most difficult piece of music is(that you can play). Mine would probably be Classical Gas - Mason Williams or The Classical themed Solo vs the Devil in the movie "The Crossroads" ... However Tommy Emanuel's Close to You that I am working on and should have down soon trumps both of those hands down lol!
  4. I'm not really any particular type of player I meddle with all genres of music but I wanna play instrumental solo which leaves me to jazz and classical, i prefer jazz because of the improvisation and experimentation, but i also like a few classical songs I learned over the years. What genres do you think could work with jazz? or just stick to jazz and couple classical songs like u said?
  5. ahh that's to bad! I'd like to really see some of your favorite transcripts! and thanks for the information man, i read threw it all, really helps me out, And I'm trying to lean away from band in a box and more just solo guitar, like I don't think pre-recorded tracks are as entertaining as live performers, if one day I had a full band it'd be a whole new story. And man that resource you sent me is awesome! I immediately book marked it lol! thanks so much for the help yo i really appreciate this!
  6. Thanks for the info! I kinda feel like this was an ad though! Maybe I'm just retarded lmao!
  7. Thanks Tapper Mic! That really helps, those songs seem to fit the scene I need, do you think single guitar is doable? Just acoustic? Also what do you think about throwing in songs like Classical Gas? Do you think that would be to much of a stretch from Jazz? I was just thinking it would be a cool song to perform because I don't think to many people could play it and its recognizable to almost anyone. Like i was thinking about throwing some classical and blues in there but what do you think? Just stick to the jazz?
  8. thanks man! do you play those instrumentally or you sing along too?
  9. Hey dude, I think a click track is going to make your rhythm tracks a lot more tight regardless, however if you have a drum track recorded to a click that is effectively a click track on its own, I think learning to play with a click track second nature would be the ideal set up for recording. (I can't play that well with a click either so I get what you mean 100% about losing the soul), but i know some people that they don't even think about the click they played with it. So I don't know maybe those people are a select few but for serious recordings I think playing to a click track is always better if at all possible.
  10. So I'm trying to make a serious set for instrumental lounge/dinner type music. (using only guitar) So far for songs I have: Autumn Leaves Fly Me To The Moon - Frank Sinatra Classical Gas - Mason Williams (plus a few things i wrote) any suggestions on good songs to play for just guitar for that type of scene? It's taking me a long time lol took me a month to put together just those 3 songs lol! I wanna start gigging busking is starting to take its toll on me lol.
  11. I'm wondering what are some sites / forums that you guys use to promote your music online! I got a lot of videos and random covers and things that I have seen others get a successful following doing but I am having a hard time with it. For example right now I am using, - Sound Cloud - Youtube - Facebook - Twitter - Reverb Nation - Band Ladders Threw Facebook As you can see all of these things put my music out there to be found but it's having it available to be found that I'm having trouble with.
  12. sounds really good bro! I like it the videos really good too, I wish I had this much effort for production to my covers.
  13. Welcome to the forums Cameron :)
