  1. Tom, It was thought provoking indeed. And I guess that's why it made the conversation stagnant i guess. at least it made me think, and i am still thinking! PT
  2. @chased Porcupine tree is the band I would recommend you for all the goodies and booklet and stories and everything that have played a role to the development of the album. They give you, however you have to pay but, not so expensive when taken into consideration the music quality
  3. Rob I agree with stats and facts that KISS, Rush, Maiden, Motorhead etc are still doing huge gigs with a flooding amount of audience. How long are they gonna live? 5 years? 10 years at max? (Lemmy is excluded from that approximation although) It is not coming from the younger generation. Whatever new music under tag "Rock" I have heard has never been as appealing as the old ones(or maybe i haven't explored the right ones). It might be good at first go, but afterwards it just loses its charm. Maybe that's just me again.
  4. Hello folks, I was wondering, according to you, how important factor an Album art is ? Personally, I believe that an album is like a swiss knife. Everything is essential, from lyrics to album art. It is part of the soul. As we have some musicians on board with couple of album releases, it would be great to hear their opinions about it. And also in general I would like to know opinions of others! PT
  5. funeral in space - armageddon amazing piece of an instrumntal, sweetest solo i have heard in a while
  6. Steve, Wish you a many many happy returns of the day. Keep painting, keep singing have a great healthy year ahead. PT
  7. I partially agree Skylark, but majorly disagree. Why one shouldn't stick to their beliefs? (especially when the belief is based upon understanding of facts and evidence?)
  8. 1. practice everyday 20 mins with different notes, try to hold as long as you can. Create your own breathing techniques 2. don't smoke (I ruined my throat ) 3. Gargle with mildly hot water. Adding little salt would do wonders hope that helps PT
  9. Strange! 20 years ago, it was still an era of classic rock (compared to this day). But funny thing is everybody knows and loves rammastein and scorpions! lol
  10. the night and the silent water - opeth
  11. wasted years - iron maiden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvVFg1wLtBs
  12. So does my dad! I thought with digital evolution the production and recording would go on the top with rock, instead it killed rock and gave birth to techno and trance and what not. Rock is almost dead. I have been living in Berlin since past 8 months. And f*ck. I still am not able to find a bar or pub which is dedicated to Rock n roll. It's sad because in a town like berlin where bars and pubs have antlike colonies in certain areas. Couldn't find a single facebook page even, where rock lovers discuss or meet. Only thing people like is Indie music and teenagers punk shit :/
  13. sweet smell of great sorrow

  14. Hello, It has been quite sometime that I'm living in Berlin and the art scene in general in Berlin is very vibrant as the city itself is. However, Being a music junkie, it really annoys me how the new generation of musicians are evolving on little or no actual music sense. I see it often with indie music. Majority of youth, dressed up as weird as they can and forcefully making themselves socially awkward and creating strong opinions about music that is less competent in sense of music. i.e. IMHO indie music. I personally am big fan of prog rock and classic rock, find it REALLY difficult to make friends or even find people who are into same music. There hardly any live music places which are dedicated to it either. Every place I have been to has either some hipsters standing straight and listening to Indie music or teenagers dancing extravagantly on punk music. Is it me or you are also experiencing this in your respective places? PT
  15. Can you stop the rain?
