  1. Other than aggressively spamming links (which I am guilty for) , I recently found a few methods through research, here is my list: - Collab with like-minded people and maybe even with someone who does a totally different genre of music -Live performance (friends, co-workers, or even strangers) -Be present on social and post about other aspects of your life other than music because it will give you more exposure -Be present on social media and use the same name so you are easy to find -Be more than just an artist maybe create t-shirts, do lessons, and ghostwrite -At worst pay someone to do it for you
  2. Lately I've seen that I've been pissing other users off because I have just been posting my link everywhere portraying the image of me being self-centered. Last march I was ready to release a full mixtape/EP that had 10 songs on it fully completed and quit rapping and threw it out because of being discouraged. I believe I am very talented at song-writing and my songs are very honest and reflect true events in my life. Two things I struggle with is Marketing, and actually just recording the music to come out the way I would like it. Does anyone have any knowledge on Music Production/Marketing that they would like to share?
  3. I've seen some comments talking about mic quality and I would like to disagree because I used a yeti pro and my track came out trash and that's not be negative or anything but I believe if you get the fundamentals down of song structure, delivery, and emotion you cannot go wrong some advice that I think would be helpful to you or any artist would be: , make meaningful relationships that can transition to collaborations, be master of your craft, and enjoy the process Rome wasn't built in a day and I agree with other users that the potential is there keep grinding! Last march I had a whole mixtape to record that had 10 songs on it and I gave up rapping and threw it out because of what others thought, take critique and learn from it and just have a strong attitude and you will flourish here is track, im not forcing anybody to listen but I would very much appreciate critique wether it is positive/negative-Powder -
  4. I'm also Canadian (ontario) love the flow and word play used, very well written , and delivery was crisp On my latest track posted on Soundcloud I was hesitant to say the least to remove my track in result of timing Any tips on how to fit lyrics with the beat accordingly? Here is my track if interested:
  5. Recently started rapping and i was wondering if i can get some feed back I have had mixed reviews lately but lemme know what you think! thanks :)) -Powder
