Lol, thanks! Well, I typically only play classical, but whatever music I can get my hands on is good enough for me! I have played some fiddle/folk music, and also some rock (I'm A Believer by Smash Mouth). Thanks again for welcoming me!

Hi, everyone! I'm new to the forum! I have been looking a long time for a music forum like this, and I'm glad that I've joined! I have played the violin for over 5 years, and I absolutely love it! I named my violin the Masked Offender, because when I tie the cloth I use to clean the strings around the scroll, he looks like a hero with a cape! Lol, I will upload some pictures here sometime. Anyways, I love music! Over the summer, I taught myself piano, and I am now working on playing River Flows Through You by Yiruma. It is such a beautiful song, I just had to learn it! Anyways, that was random. Lol!

Note: I have had lessons before, so that is why this lesson does not seem introductory to the violin. I have taken lessons, but my previous teacher fell ill and we were not able to have lessons for a long time. It has been four years since I have had a lesson, so this one is just getting back into what I have done before. My first lesson was fun, and pretty short. We simply went over my orchestra class audition music (they were just some excerpts Mr. Martin collected that were used in KMEA auditions) and that was all. She showed me the rhythms, which was what I had been having troubles with. Now, I am able to play them slowly. If I can pick up the speed a little and still maintain accuracy, first chair is in the bag.
