steves right al try system restore.. your browser has been"highjacked " by the search engine you can get rid of it ur self by going to regedit and removing it but for best messure run "bazooka" as it gives you step by step removal for you u just let it scan ur pc and it lists the items for you click on one and instructions are desplayed also i would recomend a free spyware removal like "ad-aware" all from www.download.com whilst im here check this out http://www.download.com/spyware-center/200...001-2023-0.html i also use "win patrol" its a really small program and free it notifies you of any change and lets u accept or decline them before they happen such as a browser hi-jack also on download .com cheers nigel

hi mark as far as im aware the disc that comes with a new comp is only a reinstalling disc for use with 1 comp only having said that i have a brand new (approx 1.5 yr old now) dell comp with xp and have reformated my hard drive twice + ran the disc it never has asked me for a serial num (windows M.E always did). so i dont know how it enforces the rule since when u reformate every thing goes away..so it may be worth a try ..why not try it on a mates comp and see .. let us know how u get on in case i get a new comp cheers nigel

another example of big firms treating artists like cattle they moaning @ 40,000 album sales is not enough " the prices they charge i think its a lot i think the internet will get the blame but also i think record companys have to execpt that times are changing and have to learn to adjust

rudi u may have to reformate your hard drive if u need help i can guide u . .i have a brand new "dell" comp and they recomend reformating every year if ur comp is more than a year old i would recomend it too if u have a cd writer u can easy save all u want to keep i had to do this a couple of months ago as i said i bought this 1 brand new and ignored the yearly reformating advice but got into a jam and nothing could stop it playing up since then im running fine cheers nigel
