    Kim Reynolds

Hey, everybody. This one was originally scheduled to drop later this year, but I decided it might do some good to release it before the November elections. Our governor of Iowa is Kim Reynolds. This song is in protest to her "mail-in-ballot" suppression tactics. Get out there and help me vote this clown of a presidential wannabe out of office.

    Bad Behavior

This song is outside of my normal weekly song drops. I wrote it a few years ago, and was afraid to publish it, for fear of retribution by Trump loyalists. I sat on it, waiting for the right time to release it. It's time. Stand up, and demand change. Let's make America greater than it ever has been.

For sure! I don't skate anymore, (my body just won't) but it'll always be a part of me. (The D.I.Y. attitude)

    It Ain't Illuminati

Thanks, Lisa! Skateboarding was (like being in the band) a gigantic source of identity, and pride. I had to fight for it, though. (literally) When I picked it up in the late 80's, in rural IA., I was basically the only kid in town doing it. A bunch of my friends started skating, but it was "not" popular among the "popular" kids. They called me "Skateboard-King." I got into fights at school. It was totally worth it. Before I was out of high school, I joined a team, sponsored by a skate-shop in Des Moines, and got to skate at "The Two-Rivers" festival, shoulder to shoulder with two skaters from Santa Cruz skateboards. In P.E. class, we did some weight-lifting at one point. I could push up over 600 pounds with my legs, and I had a lower percentage body fat than the smallest girl in school! I even got my favorite company, (Skull Skates, the oldest skateboard company in Canada) to accept an art design concept of mine, and actually produce, and sell it! There will definitely be more skateboarding content in the lownotes-sphere in the future.

  19. Hey, Peggy! So, the main purpose of me being here, is to create awareness for my music. (The availability of it for sale online, and my YouTube channel, "The lownotes Art Show.") I've been talking with Lisa, and now John. On Lisa's advice, I've compiled my YouTube channel's videos into a Blog. John also gave me some helpful advice. I'm going to slow down a bit on the showcase posts, and drip feed some of my favorite stuff there. It would be awesome if you decided to do something "lownotes" through your YouTube channel. (I didn't even know it existed!) I'm going to check it out, now. You guys are awesome!          lownotes

One of the things I do on our fanbase YouTube channel is curate a weekly playlist of indie artists on Songstuff Music Stage.

      https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkEW8R8Bdu84VtR0Wv2-iqA

It has been on a bit of a pause but will be back on schedule next week.  I try to include 3 Songstuff members songs on each playlist.  I do look to the Showcase board for selections from the members. I'll also check their YouTube channels.  We then promote the playlists on our Songstuff fanbase twitter account and our Songstuff artists base twitter account, our Songstuff blog and facebook accounts.

We have alot of plans for the channel and for highlighting our members and other indie music. Suggestions welcomed.

All fun and I'll be checking out your works!

    The Frost

Thanks, John. I've been talking with Lisa. At first, she directed me to the Showcase area, then she thought that compiling my YouTube videos in a Blog would be a good idea. Mostly, I'm trying to create awareness for my finished material. (Critique is welcome, although everything I post here is done as far as I'm concerned. Feedback, wherever it comes, can give me ideas for future songs.) I'll take your advice, and slow down a bit on posting to the showcase. I would love to get some play on your YouTube channel! Thanks again, John!
