INNOCENCE I can't find air. One night, when all the lights were out, I tried to sneak up on it. I scooped the air with my jar. The following morning I checked it. I couldn’t see any air there. I thought I might taste it. I tried sticking my tongue out many times but I just got funny looks from dad. I tried smelling it too. I sniffed all over and never caught a whiff. Not of just air. Once I spun round really fast. I could feel something swishing through my fingers. I think it was air but I'm not sure. I also tried listening for it. I chased a bee in the back garden and heard swooshing in my ears. Might have been air? One day my mum died. I asked my dad why did mum die? He said she ran out of air. It’s important I put some air in my jar. It’s important ‘cause I want to give it to my dad to give to mum. If mum wakes up I'll know air exists.
