Ahahah I appreciate that but I'd say that is exactly the kind of skill that can be understood only to a certain measure by simply studying. But most of all, every individual, with different IQ, culture, and background, makes very different music, with (and this is what excites me) very different ways of creative thinking behind I hope you'll fill out the survey and share your way of thinking with us (unless you did it already)! Hello all, I am a Ph.D. student in Cognitive Science and a music enthusiast. I study singing myself but I am far from a pro: I just really enjoy it! I am working with the University of Aarhus, Denmark, to collect information about how music artists manage ideas. I've seen a previous post on a similar topic, thus I really hope you'll be willing to help me: it's so hard to find participants for research projects 😅 However, I believe in this project and I think you will find it valuable too. Managing ideas is a core component of working as a music/audio artist but still little is known about how practitioners actually do it. Understanding it would also inform the design of digital tools for music creation and collaboration! What I need is for professional songwriters to fill out a 15-20 minutes survey.
