  1. believe your right John,a new pute's definatly in the future just limited in the cash department for now.my 98's been updated to run second edition so no difference.cakewalks a quirky program known to crash the best of systems.lol.thanks for the suggestion, appreciate your thoughts.
  2. Thanks John...tryed and liked drum traxs that came with cw guitar tracks2 but they crash my old 300mh 64mgs of ram puter.still running windows 98 and seems like most of the newer software reqiures more resourse and patience than i have.i think i'll probaly get cw home2004 once i get a newer pute but just wanting a cheap easy fix for now. i have no problem recording the parts as audio tracks on cw home 7 from sound mods on the system i'm using now...while i'm at it don't like that band in a box stuff either, don't mind using preprogrammed drum patterns but like to arrange and write my own bass lines.
  3. I'm about ready to plunk out $300 for a dr 670...I want fast, easy drum and bass tracks for recording original tunes.Anybody have one or other suggestions in that price range?
  4. An older martin d28 or 35 as an acoustic Electric I like Paul Reed Smith's mid priced line, never tryed the spendy ones and Carvins got some fine sounding and comfy feeling axes at resonable prices.
  5. Got no idea but the tune sure sounds good.Kinda like Robert Cray's uptown american blues sound.Maybe vintage fender but havn't a clue.
  6. played with a few bluegrass folk here in the states and most prefer the Gibson f style like bill monroe played. There ridiculousely expensive now but I'm sure the sound and styles been copied in more affordable instruments,That's the traditialists choice but sounds subjective so who know?
  7. OK gonna date myself, saw Iron Butterfly do Inagaddadavida at the filmore back around 1970 and the whole place beat the solo out with him.Not really a good solo but recognizable to a bunch of stoned out freaks.Alot of good solos played in that auditorium from santana to tower of power.I'd mention Queen but the've been recognized so might say That Joan Jet tune I Love Rock and roll has a pretty recognizale drum and guitar riff...Then theres that way to over used grove thats used in all the alternative and hiphop stuff played now, couldn't say what it is but anybody with any concept of rythum knows it.Forgive me thats three but i only named two.lol
  8. Al...got the program as a free demo and fell in love with it so bought the disk.problem here is after installing the disk i can't get it to work without crashing my puter so i just use the effects and tuner off it with my old cwhome7...anyway theres a tutorial in the start of the help section that will get you doing the drum loops.Theres a box called a snap to grid you need to click before dragging or pasting the clips in order to have them fall in order and not overlap or leave holes in your track.Elsewise it's like was said pretty simple.Just mess with it a bit and you'll get the hang of it.theres also a single bass kick and crash i believe for your ending.
