I've always been told I can't sing . I'm really the running joke in my family, hahaha, the one who can't sing but doesn't stop trying . So I never bothered to perform in front of other people, but it's always been something I love and can't stop doing. At this point I don't think I ever will seriously sing in front of others, I've built this idea in my head that I'm bound to make a fool of myself (and it's probably warranted). But I just can't help but feel like, even though I'm clearly not the best vocalist out there (Ha! Understatement of the year), I'm not that bad, and I actually do have an alright voice.
I would appreciate just general opinions and beg for honesty. So I posted an acapella track of me singing the first verse of Fix You. I don't think it's the most indicative thing, but that's all I've got on my computer now! Also, please bear in mind it was recorded in really low quality. Should I bother pursuing it (only as a hobby though, not as a career) or should I just drop it?
Btw, I'm aware I flubbed the lyrics a little
