  1. If it wasn't like this before. (you probably cheched this kind of stuff). Whats different? The recording space, the outlet your plugged into, flourescent lighting, your cable jacks, etc.... I had a bad buzzing once and it was a loose input jack for my compressor pedal. Good Luck.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. It also depends on the type of guitar. For example: Open E or A are fine for an electric (Duanne Allman - Open E), but may

put to much stress on an acoustics neck. On acoustic, Open G and D are what I seem to use alot. There are numerous others, but stress to the neck is one more

    consideration worth mentioning.

  3. I don't think I've ever seen one anything like that Jim. Is that a semi-hollow body or just a fake soundhole?

It looks to be in great condition!

    Tom

Its a semi hollow body. A reissue , maybe ten years old. Fender made a single coil and a humbucker version.

I think between 69' and 73'. This is a reissue, a 72' Thinline, Mexican, plays great, tele feel with no hum.

A gift from my wife. I'll never leave, because she'd kill it and I couldn't stand the loss.

Fake soundhole! Never seen such a thing, that would be embarrassing.

  4. Hi Jim,

Here's Some Books that I own or have read that I like

Craft and Business of Songwriting 3rd Edition by John Braheny

Short Cuts to Hit Songwriting: 126 Proven Techniques for Writing Songs that Sell by Robin Frederick

The Craft of Lyric Writing by Sheila Davis

How Music Really Works by Wayne Chase (This one is very comprehensive but offers some unique content).

    Bob

Bob: Thanks alot. I'll check them out and see which get my attention.

  5. I'm looking for any recommendations on books to improve my songwriting/lyrics. Most of the books I find are heavy

on group collaborations. for instance 'The Frustrated Song Writers Handbook' which I was told was very good, I found

to be almost useless for me. It was based on the Immersion Music Method, which I honestly couldn't get into very much,

and it promoted group or 'lodge songwriting'. Any suggestions.
