  1. Hi I've just got the Yamaha Digital Drums DD65. Was very excited, got everything set-up properly, and pedal 1 doesn't work! I don't know if anyone has these, and if so if they have had the same problem. I've checked everything I can think of, the cable is in properly, and all the other pads and pedal 2 are fine. I've sent a query to Yamaha about it, but would really like some immediate help to find out whether it can be fixed, or if I'll have to faff around trying to get a new pedal/drum kit. Thanks HarlandGirl
  2. Listening to some Magnum -On a Storytellers Night!

  3. Hi Danny Welcome. Loads of talented people on here!
  4. Hey Brad! 70's and 80's music rocks!!!! I like your enthusiasm for wanting to learn advanced music theory. I stopped learning it once the book I was looking at started referencing things it hadn't mentioned earlier in the book so I had no clue what the hell it was on about, and that was a beginners guide! Oh well, I prefer to be more practical anyway. Welcome to songstuff, look forward to hearing some of your songs HarlandGirl
  5. I started using a tutorial warm up, but it was about 20 mins long, which probably isn't very long, but I work a long day and when I get home in the evening 20mins is a big chunk out of my evening time before I have to go to bed and start again. So I stopped. I believe vocal warm ups will make my voice better though so I started doing my own, quicker warm up that takes about 10 mins. I start off by humming the notes my voice is comfortable with, then I will 'aaah' them when my throat feels it has warmed up a bit. When I feel a bit more warmed up, I may also try to hum the notes one below, and one above what my vocal chords are comfortable with to try and strengthen my vocal chords in producing those notes.
  6. Thanks for the Welcome's I've finished my about me section, thought I'd already done it, then realised that was just the personal content section lol.
  7. Hi! I'm HarlandGirl I'm female, 23 and I'm from Harrogate England. I've been playing guitar for 4 years, and have started writing music over the past year and a half. I own an Electric, Acoustic Electric and Classical Electric Guitar, but my favourite is my Classical, love the sound of Nylon Strings! My favourite genre of music would be Rock. My favourite bands are Foo Fighters, W.A.S.P., Kiss, Rush, Fleetwood Mac etc. I'm really into my Classic Rock. The music I write is quite soft and acoustic, I call it Nylon Rock. And one last thing, I would love to join a band, but haven't had any luck yet unfortunately, which is a shame since I would love to write music with a group of people. Oh well! Never give up on the dream! HarlandGirl
