  1. I prefer to use a board of individual stompboxes. Having owned a number of Digitech, Behringer, and Zoom multi-pedals in the past, I feel that the quality of each effect can be compromised when stuffing them all into an affordable multi. I'm also just not much a fan of digital effects to begin with, so I am a bit biased admittedly. Single pedals, on a budget, are hard to do though. My board has cost me more money than I care to think about right now, but I believe the analog quality that my picky ears long for is there. Here's a pic:
  2. I'm a REAPER user. $40 for a fully functional DAW is quite the bargain. Especially compared to DAWs that do essentially the same thing and cost upwards of $300-$500. Not the most MIDI friendly, I might add.
  3. Though this is an old thread, I figure I might as well add to the general topic here. The Rode NT1A is an amazing mic for the price and does very well on both vocals and acoustic guitar. Unfortunately, I sold mine a few months ago. As a replacement, I just got a Blue Spark. The Spark has a warmer sound on vocals than the NT1A in my opinion, but this may just be with my voice. I haven't tried it on any other sources yet. I'd say the Rode has a "crisper, clear" sound while the Blue has a "warmer, mellower" sound. Just in case anyone is wondering about either of these mics, you can't go wrong with either. I haven't fallen in love with anything else in that price range, personally.
