I'm looking for is a tutorial/book/software that hasspecific instructions for every step of the songwriting. Something like: 1) Choose a key 2) Choose the chord progression (12 bar blues, ______, ______ ) 3) Choose a melody to repeat for bars _____ of each chorus 4) etc. I don't care what the result sounds like. I just want to be handheld through the whole process as a starting point. I've read quite a few songwriting tutorials but they are all much too vague for my abilities at this point. Any ides?
