Need Help Thinking Of Band Name.

I just joined this forum a few minutes ago to check it out, and Im not sure if I can ask this question here, (I saw a thread about it in here by someone else with the same problem) as this is my first post.

I've just started practicing with a friend for a band we'd like to start, we have a friend who'd be interested in drumming for us, and one is getting vocal lessons. We can't think of any good names and we're playing as part of a local concert-thing in a few weeks, and we've yet to come up with anything. We have no major influences right now, as one half is interested in bands like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, etc, and I'm more into bands like The Unicorns and Los Campesinos!. Also, they need me to write the music so most of the songs are similar to them as well. Anyway, if anyone could help with a band name, it would be most appreciated.

(The only name we've come up with is Omniscient Innocents, although I'm told by others that it sounds stupid. My 5th grade english teacher called me it once, which is why we thought of it.)

I don't think it sounds stupid but a lot of people won't get it I think. Like a pretentious intelligentsia kind of thing.

Band names are a tricky thing. I see so many that lack forethought and paint a band into a corner or are so non-desrcript and forgettable Genre can have an influence too.

try to tie in the name with your area or location or a combination of the first initials of the band members names or what you all have in common kinda like example if you all liked trout fishing then you could use the name Big Rainbow or Steeley Brown

I believe there's a Facebook app that gives you not only your band name, but the title & cover art for your album as well...
