I play Pearls Masters Studio Kit.  (Birch)  I prefer it because of the seasoned tones that are created by the time it reaches the microphone.

Hi

I have to say I like the Ludwig Black Panther. Old but great. A nice rich set of tones and warm bass.

I knew a guy who had a Black Panther kit, and he wouldn't shut up about it. When we went to local gigs we would take bets on how long it would take for 'Richie' to introduce himself to the drummer. Usually within a few sentences he would mention that he had a 'Ludwig Black Panther'. Sad really.
