the family exclaimed merciful heavens

he seems like a poet, what do you think?

he likes to cry and he likes to drink

a poets life is imperfection

a backwards step in the right direction

like wind i bluster back and forth

sometimes south and sometimes north

to know your mind is no curse

theres never 'a whether' to the verse

and never averse to the weather

my style is stupid versus clever

crap at physics, crap at maths

I never saw a field of daffs

a dentists life and a windy drill

with a host of golden teeth to fill

words aint worth the rag they're written on

a dream on a ream, anyone for tennison?

seers sneer and peers are frowning

when passion burns, I wont be browning

im no goldsmith, more of a tin smith

with a worserer vocabulary to play with

the gravy train don't stop at my station

why cant i find a new vocation?
