Wow, I'm glad I found this website. I've been wanting to find a forum where songwriters and musicians could discuss.

I have a plan and I really want it to unfold. I just started working on my album,which will be my first self-released CD. I've been wanting to do this for years, but now I am finally recording it. I have spent the majority of my money towards this album. I upgraded all of my equipment so I could get good quality sound. So far, I have 5 songs mastered. I'm aiming to have at least 20 finished,and I'm in such a rush, but I shouldn't rush, but lately, I've been feeling sooo restless and urgent! I feel like I have to keep going and do so much. Why?

Anyway....after it's the album is finished, I'll get the CDs made and do some shows. I already know of some places I want to perform at.

I know it all sounds so simple and straightforward but I've been battling depression and anxiety lately,and this is the 'bump on the road' so to speak. It has really gotten in the way and has hurt my motivation a lot, so I could really use some tips to help me get through this storm. Thanks!
