Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would introduce myself.

I'm 27 from Sydney Australia. I play guitar (A newly purchased 2012 Gibson Les Paul Standard ) and I am trying to write some songs.

Up until recently I have always been afraid to try and write lyrics because i thought that if it doesn't come easy then i can't do it.

Now I am trying to study the art and try and realize that I can't be Lennon & McCartney.

Any tips or critiques are more then welcome.

Welcome to the site its a good place to start your songwritting trip!

Im sure youll find all the help ya need here! I, like yourself also stayed away from writting lyrics,only because I thought everything I wrote was corny, so I wrote instrumentals only .I started writting lyrics because I just stopped caring what people thought about the words or meaning of a song! Dont get me wrong Im still corny but I write songs w/words now,and through this site Ive found Im not terrible at it ! So have some fun !
