I am 19 years-old, currently serving in the U.S. Army in South Korea. I've been writing rap since I was 14, and writing poetry since I was 12. I think I recorded my first song at 16, and realized that, unfortunately, I am monotone, and my voice is terrible. So, if I'm going to do anything at all with this talent, it will probably be selling lyrics to crappy rappers who can't write their own stuff. Most rap is disgraceful, in that it doesn't live up to it's potential. You have all this room to say something important, and most people fill it up with crap, like a high school student writing a set amount of words. I feel that rap could be the most poetic, beautiful music, but, instead, most of it's garbage.
