Hello,

I am 36 and I started playing music about 20 years ago. It started as a way to meet girls and it has spiraled out of control ever since. I currently play in a band with my brother and we throw originals in our set pretty frequently, so, getting feedback on songs is pretty important. Nobody likes to get booed off the stage because of one poorly written song.

I play banjo, guitar, uke, harp, bass and anything else I find laying around the house (Once, I found a keytar in the attic! SWEET!!!). My process for writing a song either starts with a melody or a riff, then just gets played over and over until lyrics appear. Then I typically try to force myself to rewrite them all again and take the best of both. After writing that it sounds pretty put-together, but, its not. It's typically a gigantic mess that sometimes stumbles onto things that don't hurt your ears.
