Always With The Introductions

Hello. I'm JgIsles, which you could abbreviate to Isles or you might just call me J. I'm not great at introductions but I must say it's nice to be here.

I've been writing songs (albeit not good ones) since I was eight years old and it's a life passion. Nothing interests me in anything resembling the way music does. I compose and write lyrics. I'm a moderately skilled pianist, a beginner-to-intermediate guitarist and I enjoy tackling a bit of self-production although my experience is limited. My experience in all regards is limited to say the least, and I don't see myself becoming any kind of major performing artist. I just want to write songs and have a few people who think they're worth listening to.

With that as a long term goal, I'm working on self-producing an album at the moment. I'm here for constructive criticism of my lyrics and song structures. My musical style is varied. I take influences from early rock ('60s etc) classical, world and ambient and try not to fit into any stylistic mold. My main passion is for strange, psychedelic chord progressions.

Anyhow I expect it will be a pleasure to meet you all and I'll proceed to put my work out there for your scathing critique.
