G'day! 
My name's Alex, I'm 20 years old, live in Romania and, (here comes the part you would never have guessed) I love writing music.

 

I've been doing so for about 3-4 years in the comfortable, profoundly amateur environment that is my home. 

I've been playing guitar for about the same amount of time, have tried singing (let's just say I don't have the majestic voice of 1000 humming angels) and have a tiny bit of experience with the piano. 

 

My preferred listening genres would be Metal, Rock, Orchestral/Classical/Soundtrack music and occasionally some electronic stuff. 

I usually write Rock and Metal, but also have a lot of fun  with attempting all sorts of hybrid projects, as well as electronic/orchestral soundtrack-like songs, as such https://soundcloud.com/lunyalex/lighthouse

Anyway, enough about me. I'm very happy to have found this place. I've been wanting to find a community focused on music and songwriting for a long time and these forums seem quite active and well organized.
