Challenge #31 - Pop Culture

Recommended Posts

Hi gang

An illustrious advertising agency has approached Songstuff looking to have a song written for use in their upcoming advertising campaign to be displayed at half time during the next national championship twister competition. They have secured top stars to record the song and the stars of the commercial will be Brat Pidd and Angelina Anniston.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to write a song inspired by pop culture. In particular it should make mention of 5 of the following:

A popular brand

A pop, rock or country star

A politician

A festival

A cause

A popular song

A poem

A painting

A city

A movie star

A movie

A late 20th or 21st century scientific discovery

An item of technology

A popular food item or meal

A popular drink

There are no further requirements or limitations on this challenge other than:

Post the resulting works on the group board for discussion.... Mark with #31 in the title

The best critique of one of the challenge entries will be featured in the newsletter to be published after the deadline... Next Friday.

As an additional incentive, you, the group members get to vote for the best. You cannot vote for your own! I will try and post the poll on next Saturday.

This mission will self destruct in 10 days.

Cheers

John
