What are your impressions, what is trying to be conveyed?

It's natural for me to be influenced by the title and the doubts of what it could mean. This time was no different.

Not trying to guess what this is about.

The whole track makes it feel like it's abou the speaker bidding his or her goodbye.

The first part sounds like the speaker is questioning the character about why it happened. He is not necessarily trying to get HER answer but is asking her because he just feels restless.

The second part has its own individuality to it. It speaks a story of its own. Maybe it's about how they never were so close. They had their lives going on but somehow their paths always crossed. It didn't seem like much then but now as he ponders over the past, he realizes that he was blind to see this.

Third part is the resolution. He had said his goodbyes to this character and now it's time to say his goodbye to the rest of the world to be with this character.

I know it's soooooooo cliché lol but I'm such a sucker to these things.

I am sorry for the delay in posting up Alan's intention, but here you go:

"A song about coming of age, my age, expectations of myself and from others"

Short but sweet.

Alan it would be hood to know what emotions you intended to convey?

For me at least it is interesting the similarities and differences between what was intended and what was interpreted.

I meant to say, now we should be looking at critiquing the melody and adding to it, giving Alan feedback as it is turned into a song.
