Love Don't Come Easy

I am not finished yet, this is a poem I wrote but I think I may make it into a song. Phrasing is off but I am still learning. I hope you like it! Feedback is most definitely welcome! The title of this poem is called "Love Don't Come Easy"

Love Don't Come Easy

He said get dressed I made reservations for two

You will be shocked for what I have in store for you.

Got down on one knee, and said marry me

Be apart of my family tree.

She looked into his eyes as he was waiting for a yes

The crowd was disappointed when she said she wasn't ready yet.

He took off as a tear ran down her eye

Didn't call later to even ask her why.

Love don't come easy

There always comes a time

When everything doesn't seem alright

Love don't come easy

But because we need it

Love makes it all worth the while

Thinking about the times that they have had

Whiskey doesn't help him think

being drunk just makes him mad

All he wanted was to be reassured

Thoughts melt away as he takes a drink

Sipping away as if his feelings can be cured

The couples been through too much and has gone too far

Sometimes love creates a deep wound to make a stronger scar

could be better but I say that ALOT...I like it...but its more of just a story...
