Challenges As A Songwriter

Is anyone else having challenges as a songwriter?

I was just wondering what difficulties or struggles others might be going through.

I never struggle with songwriting, per se.  But, getting to the point where I'm satisfied with how I record them is always a bitch.  In fact, I think I may be chasing a mirage.

 

Put me down for double on Dave's comment. Normally, 2 or 3 songs come and go while I'm struggling to polish a turd to make it palatable. Do'h! Maybe palatable wasn't the best word choice there. But yeah, it's the recording/mixing and the vocals that are the biggest challenge for me.
