This is a great cut. Very well mixed, great prose, great delivery. The samples fit the overall song, and the emotional content very well. The beats, although simple, work well as well. Clearly, this is the work of someone with both skill and experience.

 

As a matter of personal taste, I am not a fan of overtly graphic lyrics, whether they invoke images of either sex or violence. So saying, I do not mean to diminish the worth of this cut one bit. My son, who is 25, would doubtless find no issue with either the theme or the wording in this. So, I may not be one who would follow this artist right now, but I certainly hope he finds enough success to stick around and mature for a while. I feel his work, seasoned with time and experience, can only get stronger, and as his themes become more complex and mature, I feel work of this level will make his releases hard to ignore.

 

In the mean time, there is nothing wrong with, as they say... writing about what you know...
