Hello all- seems like a good place to be. Looked at many forums of this nature & decided to join this one.

 

I've been playing guitar for many years but now spend more time writing music instrumentals.  It's got the stage where I'm sick to death of hearing ME play the guitar so to add melody I use a digital female voice via midi guitar. It helps me to finish a track without vomiting ;)

 

Anyways, interested to hear what others are up to & maybe someone can help me with what to do with the stuff I write?

Hey DC, welcome to the family :) We’ve been making a few changes so things are a bit quieter than usual, but it will soon pick right up.

 

As ever with forums, the more you put in, the more you get out of the experience.

 

When you say about maybe getting help with what to do with the stuff you write, do you mean musically, or in terms of marketing and promotion, release strategies, fan building etc?

 

Luckily we can help with both. :)

I've been away from the 'promoting ones self' side of it for a long time & have no real idea how to start= old school you see;)

 

The last time I put 100% into it involved sending cassette tapes & handwritten letters to studios, producers, management companies etc-- oh the old days:blush:

 

Again thanks john- & of course any help or advice along those lines would be truly appreciated.

Remarkably "Old School" can still work, just as long as you rename it "retro" lol
