Blue Orchids '18

Was looking for feedback on this in the lyrics forum but can try here as I change the format. It is Free Verse, an alternating rhyme scheme A B A B, and a 5-7-5 Haiku.

 

A crushed velvet sky with clouds unfolding like a rose
The lavender tinted skin so fragile and warm
Wrapped around me as we dream...

 

Once upon a time I had no reason
Now I have come to find
The one thing I can believe in
Was with me all this time

Blue as these orchids

Within this time now passing
Looking to hold on
The irony has me laughing
So another shared moment gone
