Hi there everyone and thanks for adding me to this forum. I am looking forward to giving and getting lots from working with other independent singer/songwriters.

 

I am very much an amateur songwriter. I do it because it fascinates me, because it gives me a way to express things that otherwise I find difficult to say and because it is simply so much fun. I don't pretend to be particularly good and I have no aspirations to make a living from it. But I do want to get better and I take learning about the craft seriously.

 

My main influences are very broad but if asked to pick three role models, I would probably choose Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor and Paul Simon. My preferred genre is acoustic solo guitar and voice but I am increasingly exploring working with software instruments on iPad to "fatten up" the sound and to experiment with other genres.
